Why does matrimony have to be all or nothing? And why does
human love have to be all or nothing? Why is it always total and where possible
excessive?
Ans. Because every action of the God-man is the action of a
divine Person. And if He is the prototype of human be-ing and human act-ing,
then the human person can only be fulfilled if he gives it all. Human doing and
willing in Christ is His very Self that is
relation. Human and doing and willing in Christ is not accidental to a
substance. They are constitutive of His Persona.
